This smart PDF splitter offers two modes of file splitting. You can split the added PDF document into single pages or enter certain page intervals and separate pages to be extracted from the file. Select 'One' or 'Interval' split modes to use each of these split types. Jul 11, 2019 In the secondary toolbar, click Split. A new toolbar appears below the secondary toolbar with the commands specific to the Split operation. How To Split A Pdf Document Free
I have a PDF file with 120 pages. How can I extract only pages 20-30 and save it as another PDF file? I am using free version of Foxit Reader. It doesn't have this facility. Any solution?

I've had pretty good luck with PDF Split and Merge for doing this. Annoyingly, the current version attempts to install another product as well, so you'd want to deselect it when installing, so you'll want to beware of that. That annoyance aside, it works pretty well.
I've split a 46 page document at page 10 and 15 here - in your case you want to set it at 19 and 50. You just need to add the pages you want to split at seperated by a space.

Try using BullZip PDF Printer: http://www.bullzip.com/products/pdf/info.php
It's free, doesn't require additional software (be sure to un-check AVG), and is easy to use. After you install it, just print your PDF to the BullZip PDF printer (instead of an actual printer) and select the page range you'd like to extract; that's it!

Hi, Thanks for the advice. Sorry to sound thick, but how do I format a heading style at the start of each subdocument?
How To Split A Pdf Document Into Two Documents
Hi bigd
It's an assumption, of course, that each individual document you want to create has some kind of 'title' or 'heading' at the start of it. Free timeline maker.
But you can format any text, whether its function is a title or heading, with a heading style and later revert back to the original formatting. Only question is, then, whether Terry's suggested approach or mine would be more efficient :-)
Click in the first paragraph of each section that should become a new document. In the Home tab, go to the Styles group. You should see three Heading styles from position four to six (assuming your Word window is wide enough to display that) named Heading 1, Heading 2 and Heading 3. You can click on any of these.
Please note also that you can change the formatting for the style if you don't like what you get. On the site Dean points you at, the page for modifying styles ishttp://www.shaunakelly.com/word/styles/modifyastyle.html.
